COMMUNITY UPDATES/REMINDERS

Thank you committee volunteers

Hello, everyone, this is Jim Robinson. As your President, I am delighted that over 20 people completed a Committee Interest Form. Seventeen were selected and assigned to 6 committees. Additional minds and more interest allows the VCA to conduct your business with more input and be preparing our future leadership. The Board looks forward to working with each and every one of you.

We've had a busy month. Here are some items that may be of interest to most of you:

·         Carter Fence repaired some breaks along the fence line on

·         the West Side of Vintage Trace Circle across from houses # 19009 and 19017.

·         Cane toads continue to be a problem throughout SWFL. The Board hired Pesky Varmints to do a

·         one-time treatment along the lake banks throughout the residential property area on July 1-2. We'll study the results before any further treatments.

·         Lake Bank erosion is also a continuing problem. While some owners have chosen to place rip rap behind their property without a Village of Estero permit, the VCA is looking at proposals that

·         would provide a more sightful and permanent solution. Before you do anything on your own to try and shore up your lake bank, complete an Architectural Review Form from Pegasus property management and then submit your request to the Village of Estero Development office.

·         The rewiring of Vintage Trace Circle from the RR tracks west to about the gate house will commence in a month or two. The Corona virus pushed back the schedule for the contractor.

·         Our treasurer reports that all spending is within budget and

·         thanks all of you for paying your hurricane assessment. Our reserves should be sufficient to handle the next hurricane.

·         The AR Committee presented updates to the AR guidelines to the Board at the July 2, 2020 special meeting and is working on a packet of material to be handed to each VTC owners and all future owners.  You will also be

·         receiving a communication from the Board which is a 14 day notice of changes that must be communicated to all owners before changes can be adopted.   Please review and make any comments you feel necessary.  The AR committee is committed to doing everything possible to ensure that all residents understand their AR responsibilities.

·          Clean Machine Car Wash has asked the Village of Estero to schedule a Public Information Meeting (PIM) before submitting a development order. The meeting is likely to be scheduled for mid-August. We have received opposition letters from each

·         VCA Community, Tyson Eye, ECCL, the ECC, and Breckenridge. These will be presented to the PIM. Any resident may address the PIM for up to three minutes.

Finally, the Architectural Committee has been busy with several requests for repainting, re-roofing, expanded landscaping and generator placements.

Anyone failing to file an ARC request form before commencing work on their property is subject to a monetary fine and bar code suspension. We had an issue with an owner who completed a re-roofing project without ever filing an ARC form, which would've been rejected since the tile roof was replaced with asphalt shingles in direct violation of the ARC guidelines. The owner knows he/she is subject to a fine review hearing.
