END OF SEASON - REMINDERS

PROGRAM THIS NUMBER (877) 769-3272 INTO YOUR MOBILE PHONE.

The VCA Board wishes you safe travels and is looking forward to seeing you back in the fall.

Bring out that Hurricane Preparedness Booklet! Bring in your patio furniture, planters and any loose impediments.  Empty out your refrigerator - have a party!  Try to do as much as possible before you leave.  If you are staying you might want to bring patio furniture in anyway due to dust/dirt from golf course renovation.

Make a plan with an alternative if the first falls through.  DO NOT USE the street drains for your landscape refuse, it will back up  the water onto the roadway making another hazard for cars to go around.

DUNKIN DONUTS

We have received preliminary drawings from the Village for a store with a drive thru being built on the south side of our front wall and Tyson Eye.  Concerned about traffic congestion a traffic count into our property was done the week of April 2 through April 6th by the Village of Estero.  Pegasus notified all residents and we hope everyone complied with our request to use the front entrance.

The price on the property itself is between $900,000 and 1.1 million.  The Board discussed purchasing the property at our April 9th meeting and the Board voted against purchase.  The VCA does not wish to become owners or landlords of additional property.

HURRICANE REPAIR UPDATE

wind

Northern ficus hedge replacement is in progress.  We will soon see the bushes trimmed down, repair/replacement of ficus hedge and some landscaping in front of the temporary fence.  JR Evans expects to have Phase 2 study done regarding the back fence/wall/berm by our May 7th meeting.

We continue to look for bids on the chain link fencing.  Currently we are working on the visible areas of the fence and then we will get quotes for the areas behind the bushes.

TRAFFIC

PLEASE SLOW DOWN!!!!

There have been numerous reports of cars speeding thru the streets in the Vines.  Be courteous of parked service trucks, cars, golf carts, bikes, runners, walkers and dogs that all use the streets.  If you have a dog and walk at night, you might want to consider reflective gear for them and yourself.  WE DON'T WANT A DEATH AS A RESULT OF AN ACCIDENT!

Please remember there is no walking on the golf course with or without a dog.
